RE-JUNCTION

The placement joints should be filled with a re-junction mortar. We recommend the use of manufactured re-junction mortar, which is specific to this purpose. There are good products which are washable, impermeable (resin based), which act as a fungicide (avoiding formation of mold) and have elastic properties in order to withstand the pressure of possible shifts. Such re-junction mortars can be found in several colors and tones, helping in composing an harmonious whole together with the ceramic.

IMPORTANT: The re-junction should be initiated at least 72 hours after the placement is concluded; the traffic of people should be allowed on the floor only 48 hours (7 days for vehicles) after the re-junction is finished. During that period, the floor must be protected by a thick layer of sawdust, cardboard or thick plastic.
